About Senior Home Report
Senior Home Report helps older adults and their families choose a medical alert system with clear, plain-English information and a short quiz that matches systems to their situation.
Who we are
SeniorHomeReport is published by Longleaf Digital LLC, an independent company based in Raleigh, North Carolina. We are not owned by, and do not work for, any medical alert company.
What we cover
We cover medical alert systems for older adults and their families, starting with in-home and on-the-go systems. Right now we compare three companies: Alert1, LifeFone, and Lively. We'll add more companies and topics over time, and we'll say clearly on each page what it covers.
How we research
We research and compare plans using each company's published information: pricing, equipment and activation fees, features such as fall detection and GPS, landline or cellular requirements, monitoring details, and contract and cancellation terms. When a company changes its plans, we update our pages.
We do not claim to have tested these devices hands-on. When something comes from a company's own website, we say so, and we recommend confirming current prices and terms with the company before you buy. You can read more on our How We Review page.
How we make money
Senior Home Report is free to use. We may earn a commission when readers buy through some links on this site, at no extra cost to them.
Commissions never change how our quiz ranks systems. Quiz results are based on the answers you give, such as where the system will be used, whether there's a home landline, and who it's for. Companies cannot pay for a higher spot.
